Freezing cold creates ice everywhere

Temperatures really dropped to sub-zero levels for a few days during last week and I was walking around wearing 3-4 layers of warm clothes. One morning I came out of the house to find my car caked completely in ice and had to wait for about half an hour after switching the car heater for the ice to melt and then start off my day. The same evening as we sauntered out to get some fresh cold air, I thought I'd capture some images of the ice and here they are for your reference. Ice is on the plants, trees, bushes, homes, roofs, cars and on the floor. The most dangerous part of all this is if you are not careful you will most definitely slip and fall and break your bones.

Fall Colors that almost went unnoticed

I have been busy going through my college, radio shows, volunteering and other stuff that I almost missed capturing the beauty of fall in my camera. Last weekend I finally got around to do it and here are the amazing hues of nature. Of course most of the pictures have been shot inside the apartment complex I live in and couple have been captured outside in places like Irving and Plano, places that I frequently visit.

Cabin Fever and driving on a cloudy day

Reading my blogs, my close friend Don Siewert from Seattle wrote to me saying that I am getting "Cabin Fever" being holed up for too long at home. Deciding to do something about it, we set out on a long drive through some of the back roads of Carrollton, Dallas, Plano etc.
After a Tex-Mex breakfast of Tacos and Burritos (something like the rolls we get in India). Taco is a small chapathi and Burrito is a large chapathi, stuffed with potatos, beans and a choice of sauces, vegetables and pickles. And then drove around in the urban countrysides and finally lunched at an Indo-Chinese restaurant "Masala Wok". Like it is said of high-flying businessmen "breakfast in India, lunch in London and dinner in New York"; we kinda had variety of cuisines today. Breakfast in Mexico, lunch in China and dinner in India! The only difference however was that it was at these restaurants and not in the countries.
